In 2010, I was hired as a receptionist at a dental office was quickly recognized for leadership and organizational skills which resulted in multiple swift promotions. Within a couple of years, I became a Registered Dental Assistant with the ability to serve patients both clinically and administratively from the moment they walked in the office door to the moment they left. I volunteered to attend any and all dental related conferences always acquiring certifications beyond what was required just because I enjoy learning about the complex nature of dental billing and practice management. Eventually I was offered an Office Managerial position in which I took so much pride in for many years - office morale, patient satisfaction, and 100% insurance reimbursement at the forefront of my mission, all of which my team accomplished and maintained. Once my family started to grow, my first to arrive, last to leave mentality shifted and I found myself searching for dental opportunities outside of the clinical setting. Although patient care was so important to me, I really saw first hand how dentists and dental practice owners pour their hearts into their offices, sometimes getting little to no reimbursement for their services. I knew I could help; I could help remotely! I have developed effective and efficient skills to help dental providers facilitate trusting patient relationships in regards to their dental benefits, maintain accurate records within practice management systems due to precise posting of insurance payments, and of course, sticking it to the insurance man by fighting for 100% of what is rightfully owed to dentists! 

I currently reside in a small town in Tennessee with my little family - including a hubs, two sons (8 & 4) and the sweetest old man pup, Rosco. We love to spend our time together fishing, camping or just playing in the backyard. I love estate sale season and I am a serial hobbyist - always craving to try the next activity, art project, or sport!

I started my career in dentistry 18 years ago as a Dental Assistant. I enjoyed the relationships created with patient’s and assisting Doctors in providing great care. However I wanted more. I went back to school and became a Registered Dental Hygienist. Working as a Hygienist I created even more relationships and established great rapport with patients, and Doctor’s counted on me. While working as an assistant, or then as a hygienist, anytime there was downtime, I always gravitated to the front desk helping with the insurance side and really enjoyed it. In 2019 life being life tried to throw a curveball that made clinical work nearly impossible.  My personality of being a power hitter, I decided to turn that curve ball into a home run and found my true passion! Five years ago I focused all of my energy into the billing side of dentistry. Excelling in the billing side of things I can continue to have Providers count on me to increase collections. The tenacity I possess helps tremendously when going to bat for your office to fight for every dollar you are owed. That helps patients get the most out of the benefits that they pay for. I have successfully helped many offices increase their insurance collections from 70% or below up to 98% or more every month consistently. My attention to detail has enabled me to hone in on and develop a very specific protocol for sending clean claims that get paid upon first submission. The same can be said for appeals. I know what insurance companies look for, and fight for your hard earned money. Having this knowledge helps tremendously in getting offices paid quickly and what they are owed. 

Outside of work I am a blessed Mother of four wonderfully crazy boys, and wife to a big galoot of a husband. We have a whole menagerie of pets that includes a doberman, Sarge. A french bulldog, Delilah. Two guinea pigs and a bearded dragon. We enjoy being outside enjoying our Nebraska weather, watching baseball games, and going to watch one of our high schoolers compete in marching band competitions.
